CHB has been designated as the Nodal Agency for Slum Rehabilitation Project. This project will provide one room flats to nearly 23841 existing slum families in the city. E. Construction Of 320 Small Flats Under Dr. Ambedkar Awas Yojna In Sector 56, Chandigarh

Land measuring 0.757 acres, on plotted area basis, in Sector 56 has been allotted to CHB for construction of houses for allotment to SC families under Dr. Ambedkar Awas Yojna. The work for construction of these dwelling units has commenced. The beneficiaries for allotment of these 320 Small Flats are to be identified by the Director Social Welfare Department, Chandigarh. |

B. Development Of Residential, Commercial And Other Infrastructure Facilities As An Integrated Project At Rajiv Gandhi Technology Park (RGCTP).

Chandigarh Administration, in December 2005 designated CHB as the ‘Nodal Agency’ for development of ‘RGCTP Habitat Project’ in an area of 123.79 acres of land on ‘Private Sector Partnership’ (PSP) basis. CHB after following a bidding process selected M/s Parsvnath Developers Ltd., the highest bidder who quoted Rs.821.21 Crore plus 30% of Gross Revenues from sale of residential units. The development agreement was signed on 6 October, 2006. |

C. Construction Of 688 One Room Flats (EWS)-288 In Sector 38 (W) & 400 In Sector 49, Chandigarh
|

Scheme for 688 one room flats for the economically weaker section in Sector 38 (W) and Sector 49 was floated during the month of January, 2006. The DUs with covered area of 425 Sft. are being developed over a piece of land measuring 0.77 acres in Sector 38(W) allotted to CHB on plotted area basis and 1.07 acre in Sector 49 was allotted to CHB on plotted area basis in Sector 49. Applications for the said scheme have already been received by CHB. Draw of lots for registration has also been conducted by CHB |
